EDUCATION FOR REAL LIFE

Are you planning a home birth for your next baby? We can help you prepare for the unique experience of birthing at home in this highly interactive class. You will learn all sorts of techniques to find comfort during your home birth while also learning the normal phases and stages of labor and some key tips on how to prepare for your home prior to birth and a special list of instructions for the day of your birth.

IDEAL for those expecting subsequent babies - is not a comprehensive childbirth education class for first time birthing families - we recommend the birthED Lamaze series for families expecting their first baby.

Our owner (and home birther herself), Liz Hochman CD(DONA), CLC, LCCE, will guide you through this workshop.

You can expect the same awesome birthED vibe in this class with evidence-based information containing all you need to know to prepare for your home birth.

We will cover:

  • Normal stages and phases of birth

  • When to call your team (Midwives & Doulas)

  • Identifying early labor signs

  • Coping and comfort strategies for home birth

  • Informed Decision making and expectation management in case of transfer

  • How to prepare your home for a birth and/or early postpartum

  • Sibling preparation strategies

* PLEASE NOTE: Breastfeeding + Newborn care are not covered in this class but can be added on with our other classes.
